Los Angeles dreampop artist Catbells will release a debut full length in 2022. During last year the artist has come up with two EPs and some standalone tracks which profile her melancholic dreampop sound.
According to Catbells, her first release Fade was written "on a full moon when feelings flow over the brim." The song's unmixed and unmastered Rainy Day demo version pairs with an animated video, and introduces the artist's sound and mysterious presence.
Same As You, which came a few months later, has a crisper indie pop feel, while its accompanying clip was more roundly produced. Completely DIY, the video it chronicles the investigation of a missing person and the interrogation of a suspect, in a creative and fun way.
