A forgotten gem from the nineties, Monochrome, a band of four New York City college students with very little representation in the local music scene, is eventually releasing a series of great recordings which easily compare to the genre's elite, and the most melancholic moments of acts like Ride, Slowdive, and the 4AD catalog.
Far Away Sea is a track on Monochrome's album When The Moon Was Full, and it exhibits the band's lo-fi sound and overall approach with delicate vocals, a simple, seductive melody, and minimalistic, yet on-point instrumentation.
