Following the success of her third acclaimed single of 2021 Out of My Way, it is now time for Norwegian musician Silje Espevik aka Yndling to focus on her debut self-titled EP, released on January 7th, 2022.
With quiet vocals and a wistful tone, Yndling's new project was created during the Covid period, and her lyrics give off notions contemplation and frankness. New single Like Love Is Real is a dreampop piece on the lines of Beach House and Mazzy Star.
Yndling explains: “To sum all the tracks up, I’d say it’s about how differently people can perceive things, even the same experiences, and the EP really sums up many of the feelings I’ve had as I’ve tried to understand my own needs and separate them from the needs and expectations of the people around me.”
