Whimsical is a veteran Shoegaze and Dreampop band, initially active from 1999 to 2005 with releases on Saint Marie Records and Seraph Records. The group reformed in 2015 and signed to Shelflife Records for their new fourth album Melt which is expected on April 1st, 2022.
"It’s funny how hearing an old song idea with fresh ears can really turn things around," the band comment on their new track Rewind, an unused song originally considered to be the B-side of the recent single Gravity. Considered by the artists themselves as the perfect Whimsical song, the new offering possesses the beauty for which the band aims in a consistent manner.
"The lyrics are inspired by the desire to turn back the hands of time and rewind to a place when times were better and start over again with a fresh start," Whimsical conclude, presenting a fine new track of charming energy, elegance and dreamlike traits.
