Dion Lunadon Fills The Darkenin Heart Questionnaire
April 27, 2022
What do you consider to be the darkest piece of music you’ve ever heard?
Maybe Carl Orff - O Fortuna, from Carmina Burana. From very young I always thought this piece was scary. Me and my neighbor snuck into his sisters room and cranked this while she was sleeping.
How would you characterize your own music?
Real and honest. I guess it characterizes who I am. Or at least a part of who I am.
What are your musical aspirations?
Write better songs. Become a stronger performer. All the while being true to who I am.
What are your main musical inspirations?
It always changes. I guess inspiration comes and goes. It depends where you are at in life. Sometimes it comes naturally, sometimes I’ve got to keep an eye out for it.
What are your main goals in life?
Just to be happy and continue what I'm doing. Travel more. Go to places I’ve never been. Physically and mentally.
What motivates you to create?
I guess I’ve always had a pretty good work ethic. There’s prob a few factors. Passion, survival. I think I feel most alive when I'm playing music. Get those endorphins flowing.
Are you more of an early bird or a night owl?
Always changes. At the moment early. I get more done when I'm up early. Late night work is fun and mysterious though.
Besides music, what other art forms would you like to explore?
I'm willing to give anything a go! I wouldn’t mind getting into painting on large canvases. I imagine it to be exhilarating.
Which is the very first record that had a big impact on you?
Billy Idol - Rebel Yell. I was very young when I heard it but it changed my life. I felt like I’d found something I’d been looking for. I get the same feeling when ever I play live.
What is the best decade for music?
Probably the 1710s. Remarkable period.
What do your future plans include?
More albums. More touring. More.
