Patrick J. Smith, a New York-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is the artist behind A Beacon School, an up-and-coming dreampop outfit. The project's full length debut, Cola, features tracks that shift from upbeat jangly pop to dreamy shoegaze.
Dot is the first release from A Beacon School in three years, and it corresponds with a headline concert at The Sultan Room in Brooklyn on Friday April 8th, 2022, indicating the arrival of the anticipated new album. The five-minute song finds A Beacon School at its most lush and refined, with a clear instrumental backdrop and soft vocals shining through.
