Donzii, the Miami, Florida-based post punk band created by vocalist Jenna Balfe and musician Dennis Fuller, has released a new track, Rightway Highway, from their upcoming album.
The new song is an exciting and upbeat tune which also gives a glimpse of the band's introspective and gloomy perspective on post punk songwriting.
“A lot of my inspiration comes from wanting people to think more deeply about being able to exist in a way that is more joyful,” says Jenna Balfe. “Not in a Live Love Laugh kinda way, but in a way that encompasses the material grossness of this chaotic life cycle with a little chuckle beneath your breath. Like watching sweet little pink flowers grow atop a pile of decaying bones and compost.”
Rightway Highway is paired to a video filmed and edited by Domingo Castillo. The debut album Fishbowl will be released on Grey Market Records later in 2022.
