Church Girls' new track Telepathic Mind comes after the release of their album Still Blooms in October 2021, which was one of their most emotive efforts to date. The new song continues in the same moving creative vein, expressing the band's restless optimism.
Vocalist Mariel Beaumont comments: “We all get depressed. I still comically buck against it: waking up early every morning and standing in direct sunlight for twenty minutes because a podcast told me that might help. During this particular bout, I knew I was driving my live-in partner a bit crazy with my silent brooding. I've heard telepathic communication doesn't work so well, but I'm a slow learner.”
Telepathic Mind is brooding and guitar-driven, and it reflects the sound for which the band has received the most of their notoriety so far.
