Cathedral Bells, Matt Messore's shoegaze project, has released the second part of a two-song EP, Fall Into Place / Afterglow, via Born Losers Records. Afterglow, like its predecessor, is genuine eighties and nineties indie galore, with the band's own creative personality bursting through.
Cathedral Bell's overarching air of melancholy and warmth is carried on through jangly guitar sounds, glittering synthesizers, and nostalgic lyrics, and the band's concept is completely realized once more, resulting in something instantly appealing.
