Parallel from Oakland expand on their psychedelic post punk basis to create sparse yet bursting shoegaze. The band began performing together in the fall of 2019, writing the most of their debut record in seclusion, in the basement of their drummer Maria.
Their first mini-album was released on Cherub Dream Records in April 2022, and currently the band embark on a West Coast tour. Members are also involved with a a few other projects, like Ragana, Nothing Natural, Entrapment, and Lizard Bitch, and previously in Negative Standards, Romantic Feelings, and nasty.dilemma.
Single Drench is evident of Parallel's atmospheric shoegaze and dreampop, and demonstrates the band's brooding power and exquisite songcraft.
