The Longest Hour is the new song by Susanne Jonsson and Jan Strandqvist's Red Mecca project, which incorporates modern electronica and post punk elements, following the pattern of the band's genre mixing stamp.
The new single appears to have an innate melancholy, with a darkwave and post punk tone, featuring a gripping bass line, moody synthesizers, and gloomy lyrics, yet, it also comes with a sense of optimism.
Red Mecca reflect on the track: "It’s all here. Our looking glass. Listen to it in your head phones in the sundown or dance to it in the sunset."
