Alternative rock band from Los Angeles The Loud Bangs were formed in the summer of 2021, bonded by a passion for shoegaze, nineties indie rock, and German club music.
On their first few releases, the band presents an almost surreal, psychedelic spin on shoegaze, sounding highly atmospheric and hazy.
“Who needs lyrics to convey emotion?" says band leader Alice Street. "We can’t understand the words of My Bloody Valentine, or Cocteau Twins, or Sigur Ros, and we still get what they’re singing about. Honestly, we’re no good at lyrics so who cares?”
Cars Kill, the new single by The Loud Bangs, comes with a wonderful visualizer and relates to the anxiety of being a passenger in a high-speed car collision.
