The Flowery Man by Phantom Handshakes

Darkenin Heart

NYC-based lo-fi dreampop duo Phantom Handshakes release The Flowery Man, a splendid summery track that serves as the band's latest standalone single. Close to their previous offerings, particularly their album No More Summer Songs, Matt Sklar and Federica Tassano produce something tuneful and appropriate for summer moods, always with a melancholic tone in place.

The band describe the inspiration behind the song: "The song's lyrics are inspired by a New Yorker article about a woman who suddenly starts having hallucinations. She is a visionary, she sees things that don't exist and lives in a world of her own. The Flowery Man is her imaginary boyfriend with whom she spends the summer days chilling at the beach."
