Under the alias Softie, Bay Area-based artist Nicholas Coleman creates a woozy kind of dreampop, fusing psychedelic qualities with evocative songwriting and hazy sounds. Coleman explores the boundaries of shoegaze in a very creative manner with Strong Hold, the project's latest EP, and delivers an untraditional work that leaves plenty for the listener to discover.
Doser, the EP's first track, sets the tone for the fragility and the haziness which comes in Softie's instrumental and compositional methods. The song finds a great visual match in the new clip shot and edited by Nicholas Coleman.
