Anchor and Adjust by Syzygy

Darkenin Heart

Following the release of their recent single Justice or Mercy, Melbourne synthpop duo Syzygy have released their new track Anchor and Adjust, the second track from their debut album of the same name. The new song is a dynamic number that revolves around themes of power, perception, and information control.

Anchor and Adjust is taking cues from cognitive bias theory and the concept that once an anchor of perception is established, all resulting comprehension is correctly or incorrectly linked to that initial belief.

Syzygy's new album, produced throughout a three-month shutdown, appears to be trying out different styles and sounds, possibly veering away slightly from their vibrant synthpop, and sounding moodier and more composed on both the production and the songwriting fronts.

The duo's debut album Anchor and Adjust will be out later this year from It Records.
