If You Could is the first single from the forthcoming album Empty Crush by London-based band Velveteen. Its sound draws from the frontlines of shoegaze, and seems like something that will delight fans of the genre and more.
The band began as a side project in a top-floor London flat, but quickly evolved into a distinct act with a clear purpose. Their new track sounds great and sincere, with its noisy and melodious features linking up eloquently, bringing to mind bands like Chapterhouse, My Bloody Valentine and Ride.
Empty Crush will be out via Shelflife Records in November 2022.
