New York-based dreampop band Phantom Handshakes return with the first example from their upcoming album A Passport to Remain which will be out on November 3rd, 2022.
Stuck in a Fantasy makes stronger the daydreaming framework of its lyrics with an evenly melancholic and dreamlike sound in the manner of the duo's usual style.
Phantom Handshakes explain: "The song is a bittersweet daydream. The lyrics were inspired by a call with an old friend. She was unfortunately going through a difficult time in her life, so her way to deal (and escape) reality was to dream about being someone else, somebody famous."
