Curtain is a French coldwave band that released two full length albums and one EP in the 2000s. Curtain returned in 2021 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their album No Flowers by Request, which was reissued in deluxe form by MusikÖeye. The band's return continued in 2022 with several gigs and new songs released, the first of which is A cold life.
A cold life, Curtain's first single after 15 years of silence, is a moody post punk track with a lot of atmosphere and a good mix of synths and guitars that contribute to a grim tone. The very nice accompanying video, produced by Martial Mingam, was freely inspired by the work of Jean-Christophe Averty.
