Iron Years is a Chicago-based band whose sound is influenced by the post punk scene of the eighties, as well as a lively and more danceable side of synthpop, as well as old Italo records.
Lucid is the new single by Iron Years, a track powered by a goth pop aesthetic. It is accompanied by a storytelling video that enchants the viewing audience just as much as the music.
Lucid has a strong effect with its electronic percussion and drumming laying the groundwork, while solid basslines accelerate the music into an elegant post punk and shoegaze mix, as the guitar melodies are working correspondingly to create a mystifying atmosphere.
Lucid is the first single off of Iron Years’ first album Reverie, to be released on Play Alone Records.
