Swedish darkwave/post punk duo Pink Milk released their sophomore album Ultraviolet in October 2021, and they return with the new track, River of Glass. The new single is a sentimental and atmospheric love ballad, about a ghost's unrequited love for a vampire.
As idealized and fantastical as the song's theme is, it also sounds lush and ethereal, as it naturally portrays a haunting scene of a 1950s diner in a Lynchian world, where a cryptic song echoes from the other side.
River of Glass, ideal for an alternate Twin Peaks universe, quickly unravels its own mystery and becomes utterly enthralling for the listener to be submerged in.
