Originally from Manchester, now based in London, The Early Mornings formed in 2019, and have gained their first reputation supporting bands such as The Raincoats, Porridge Radio and Shame. Their upoming sophomore EP Ultra-Modern Rain will be released via their new label home Practise Music on January 20th, 2023.
In the form of its title track, Ultra-Modern Rain has delivered a new example of the band's rare musicianship, which evidently overflows with whimsy and sounds sleek all the way through, with the tongue-in-cheek vocals and the edgy guitars being key points.
Ultra-Modern Rain finds The Early Mornings solidify their early reputation for constructing current minimal post punk by means of engaging songwriting.
