Against the Wall marks the return to music making for the Welsh darkwave band Bleached Heat. The track is also the successor to 2020's album Bleakism. It's a lively song with gloomy lyrics and a strong sense of foreboding darkness.
The artist took a break after resettling from the United Kingdom to Western Canada to concentrate on settling into a new life.
Against the Wall is Bleached Heat's first venture into DAW recording, previously having recorded everything on a four track tape machine. The song, which explores topics of hopelessness and desperation, was written, recorded, and mixed in only four hours.
