High Beam Lights is the sixth release by Sydney, Australia shoegaze project Lakes Region. After a set of standalone releases, the band is steadily assembling a substantial early collection of music.
Lakes Region is led by musician Peter Bridle, who is also the guitarist for Trillion, another Sydney-based noisy shoegaze act.
The new song is a melancholic track that gravitates toward the melodic side of the genre, and at times feels broad and also grander, with the delicate vocals adding to the totally nostalgic and moody result.
