The first single from Australian shoegaze and dreampop band Oceans' upcoming album is the vibrant new track Pure. The theme of "loneliness, isolationism and disconnection that comes from being separated from your loved ones for a long period of time" is contemplated in the album titled Dreamers in Dark Cities.
Pure, which is at times fuzzy and feels overarchingly melodious, clearly shows the band's intention to achieve something both creative and familiar, while remaining confidently within the shoegaze realm.
Oceans' debut album, Dreamers in Dark Cities, will be released on March 24th, 2023 by Shelflife Records.
