Of Woods And Seas by Alaskan Tapes

Darkenin Heart

The new album Who Tends A Garden by Toronto-based composer Alaskan Tapes is out, after the release of a few fine specimens from it. Brady Kendall's new record explores the symbolic and literal meaning of a garden, whether it be one made of sounds or of the dirt in one's yard.

The atmospheric first track of the album, Of Woods and Seas, carries the listener to a surreal external world with earthly characteristics. It is a very nice starting point to an album with a lovely concept that was inspired by an old book on the topic written in 1935 by Louise Seymour Jones.
