UK or Die (ft. Mark Stewart) by Do No Harm

Darkenin Heart

Do No Harm are a London-based band made up of husband and wife team Jess Mills and Finn Vine, as well as friend Owen Dyke. Finn has played in a number of bands, including Aruto, Genuflex and White Rose Movement, in which he collaborated with bassist Owen. Jess has released music under the moniker SLO, in addition to performing as a vocalist on tour with Leftfield and writing/recording with Joe Goddard, but she has also devoted large part her time campaigning both as a founding member of refugee charity Choose Love and as the founder/CEO of the Tessa Jowell Foundation.

Following their previous atmospheric single and EP title track, the group has released their debut EP Damascene via AWAL. The track UK or Die includes post punk veteran Mark Stewart of The Pop Group, and serves as one more example of the artfulness that Do Not Harm bring with their first offerings.

They comment on the new EP: “The Damascene EP is the first part of a trilogy of EP’s from us that will come over the course of this year. It was pretty special to record our first offering with Ali Chant, Seb Roachford and Mark Stewart, whose work we are all big fans of. The 3 of us (Jess, Finn and Owen) have each had separate and extensive careers in music before now, so the creation of this EP is the first time we’ve collaborated. It came in the midst of a pivotal time in each of our lives, when getting back to the basics of singing and playing music together felt more vital than ever.”

The video for UK or Die marks the band's second collaboration with photographer and videographer Steve Gullick (Kurt Cobain, The Wytches, The Mysterines).

Damascene was recorded with Ali Chant (Dry Cleaning, Aldous Harding, Yard Act), and Seb Rochford (Polar Bear).
