Approachable by Gurriers

Darkenin Heart

The hyped Irish five-piece Gurriers are causing a stir with the release of their debut single, Approachable. With buzzing guitars, guttural screams, and true post punk fury, the new song is a dynamic reproach. The track's fiery chorus and forceful verses, which are marked by the line "I was born in the wrong era," take an angry look at the contemporary world.

Chris Ryan (Just Mustard, Enola Gay, NewDad) is the track's producer. About the single, lead singer Dan Hoff says: “Approachable is a tongue in cheek anthem about the rising far right rhetoric all over the world.”

Gurriers, who were formed during the pandemic, have recently become more widely known to listeners as a result of their rousing live performances. They have been one of the most interesting new bands to come out of the Irish scene, and began as a anonymous project between coworkers, roommates, and best friends, but since they have developed into a fully fledged project.
