The Veldt were underestimated from the start as a soul-driven shoegaze band which was being dreampop at its foundation but also capable of covering a wide range of songwriting approaches. Twin brothers Danny and Daniel Chavis have been creating their entirely original brand of shoegaze for more than 30 years, initially drawing inspiration from bands like Cocteau Twins and A.R. Kane among others.
One of the band's new tracks, Sweeter, stands out since it perfectly encapsulates The Veldt's distinctive sound, with inventive guitar work, psychedelic rock and soul elements.
The Veldt have shown that they have no plans to take things easy with the release of their most recent full length, Entropy is the Mainline to God, out since September 2022 via Little Cloud Records/The Acid Test Recordings/Disc Drive/5BC. Sweeter is a part of the album, and it comes with a new psychedelic visual.
