The Psychotic Monks' excellent new song Gamble and Dangle shows the French band to be both thorough and angular. The track is from the group's most recent album, Pink Colour Surgery, which is available from Fat Cat Records.
The band seems to be developing things in a slow and steady way on this standout song, before bursting in their signature stormy style.
Pink Colour Surgery is The Psychotic Monks' third album, and features an intricate sound that pushes boundaries and defies classification. Daniel Fox of the Gilla Band produced it, and improvisations played a part in the composition.
