The second single from up-and-coming Californian darkwave artist SOFT VEIN is titled VIOLENTIA. It varies slightly from the project's first track, GIVEUPTHEGHOST, but retains the same dark tone and character.
The new single takes inspiration from industrial and electronic sounds, and has minimalist synth and drum arrangements which owe a lot to early coldwave and darkwave. VIOLENTIA also incorporates elements from the genre's more modern aspects, being a fully realized track overall.
Soft, whispered vocals mumble and sing faintly over an instrumental base made forceful rhythms, menacing synth basslines, icy guitars, and entrancing synthesizers.
