Nora Blöchl, a Lisbon-based musician who has also played bass in the noise punk band Post Period, is the mind behind the new project Elastic Skies. For the new material she collaborated with musician and producer Patrick Tilg.
Elastic Skies were introduced with No Past, No Regrets which they follow with the new single, Elastic Solitude. The project continues to evolve its dark and dreamy sound, basing its magnetism on gleaming synthpop melodies, post punk guitars and a hard-hitting drum machine.
The new song is a heartbreaking notice of the alienation of recent years and illustrates how adaptable people are as a whole. The music's overall dimness blends well with its dancing aspects.
