Repetitive Songs About Hell by No Floor

Darkenin Heart

Seattle, Washington-based shoegaze band No Floor appear on the scene with their debut release, Repetitive Songs About Hell, which contains the two songs Keep Time and Dust. The band's shoegaze style incorporates aspects of post rock as well and sounds incredibly moving and melancholic.

Keep Time begins with a bright melody, a lot of distortion, and a slow build that intensifies over time until it reaches a bursting culmination at the end. The foundation of Dust is a massive wall of forceful guitars, which transform into a post rock break down and arises to grow in the second half.

The two songs together form an effective pair that amply demonstrates the band's possibilities.
