Salvana is a shoegaze group originating from Barcelona. They recently unveiled their initial single for 2023. Brandemburgo blends elements of shoegaze and alternative rock with a touch of post-rock, drawing inspiration from artists such as Nothing, Brutus, and Slowdive.
The band explain: "It's a song about feeling that you don't belong to the place you have been living in for a while. So you feel you have to leave. It's sad but also euphoric at the same time."
The band successfully combines feelings of elation and nostalgia in a remarkably coherent fashion, and their adept musicianship shines through in this new composition.
