After their exceptionally strong debut single, Take The Blood From My Body, the industrial band Street Grease, have just released Fawn, their second track. Because the lyrics were influenced by the experience of losing a dear family member and finding their lifeless body in their home, the most recent release sounds even more emotive and crushing.
Maud, the singer and guitarist, used the song to put across feelings regarding the tragic event, having the music serving as a form of therapy.
The music of Fawn is tumultuous with dynamic shifts that constantly change and produce a rich electronic environment. The song is divided into two distinct parts: the first is ominous and frenetic, while the second part widens out to a more spacious sound, and crescendos with a distinct breakdown of noise.
