Summer Love by Lala Salama

Darkenin Heart

Indie band Lala Salama has recently joined the All That Plazz label, which is based in Helsinki. Their latest release, Summer Love, is a lively shoegazy track with a feminist DIY perspective. The mastering was done by acclaimed producer Ryan Schwabe.

Lala Salama is a rising trio which has built a fan base within Helsinki's punk and indie scenes. A feminist DIY band, they came together during the pandemic when bassist Santeri Hytönen and drummer Aliisa Keränen discovered and fell in love with the demo tapes created by singer and songwriter Rosa Jules. The instant connection between the three musicians solidified their bond. With Summer Love, it becomes clear that their music will resonate with the indie enthusiasts across their local scene and beyond.

Summer Love is a captivating sentimental song that evokes both longing and empowerment, delivering a modern and vibrant feel. It draws influences from various genres such as dreampop, Scandinavian nostalgia pop, shoegaze, indie rock, and reaches the boundaries of punk. Through their new single, Lala Salama stand out by uniquely blending Finnish melancholy, raw romanticism, and alternative rock elements.
