Suffocate by Magnetic Skies

Darkenin Heart

Embracing a dark and enthralling essence that ignites a lot of exhilaration, Suffocate is the newest track release from the British synthpop ensemble Magnetic Skies.

Simon Kent, the lead vocalist, masterfully intertwines despair and yearning, showcasing his vocal prowess, as the song wholeheartedly exudes an ominous dynamism, exhibited in a very natural and seamless way.

The accompanying music video grabs the attention as much as the song, employing a visually appealing and simplistic black and white backdrop that matches perfectly the overall moody atmosphere Magnetic Skies achieve.

Magnetic Skies comment on the track and video: ‘The song is about a relationship that breaks down. At the start, everything is incredible and you throw yourself head-first into that and nothing else matters, you just want this dream to come true. Then things change, reality sets in and everything around that falls apart to devastating effect. We wanted a dark, agitated, claustrophobic video – devoid of colour – to complement the emotions in the song.’
