The Uptights, a Norwegian alternative rock group, blend elements of shoegaze, noise rock, and post punk in their music. Jasper is a new song from their upcoming album titled I Was Dreaming, set to be released on October 27th, 2023, through the Oslo-based label Keepsecretrecords.
Each of The Uptights' albums is characterized by their distinctive creative approach, as they record on cassette and mix everything in mono, adding a touch that's solely their own to their music.
Jasper offers a very notable trip through a dark and noisy lo-fi soundscape with post punk individuality. The overall rough track includes elements such as a free jazz saxophone interlude and a mid-song moment of unprocessed introspection.
