Shoot Me Down by Ruth Radelet

Darkenin Heart

Ruth Radelet of Chromatics unveils her latest single, Shoot Me Down, just in time for her upcoming tour with STRFKR. It is a very charming track which combines pop sensibilities with Radelet's signature synthpop and dreampop roots, resulting in an enticing sound.

Ruth Radelet comments on the new single: "Although this song is very personal to me, I think it tells a story that many people can relate to. It started out as a sad girl piano ballad, written after a particularly bad night, and in the end became one of the most fun tracks I have ever worked on. I believe that creating music is a way to transmute pain, and making this song was healing in that sense. I feel joy when I listen to it now, whereas when I wrote it I could only feel the hurt. It was developed at rehearsal and on stage as well as in the studio, and it felt refreshingly old-fashioned to debut the song in front of a live audience before releasing it. Now the journey is complete, and I am excited to share the official version with the world."

With an enchanting blend of genres, Shoot Me Down is a rich and well made song, setting the stage for an exciting tour ahead.
