Malax EP, the previous release by Swedish band It's For Us coincided with the break of the pandemic and since then, the band took the opportunity to move, start families and create new music. Their upcoming third album Out Of Time, is ready to come out in April 2024 through Novoton.
The new album was recorded and produced by the band themselves, and presents them moving towards a bigger sound with shoegaze and post punk foundations.
The first single from the album is Sandy Beaches, a song "about having an 'artist's soul'. About feeling like you never really fit in anywhere. About the attraction to the dark, dirty and decadent, regardless of whether you are in sunny California or in the cold Nordics." The band boasts an indeed richer sound which feels contemporary, melodic and more accessible.
