Aurinko sulattaa mun pään by Lala Salama

Darkenin Heart

Helsinki-based group Lala Salama unveiled their new track Aurinko sulattaa mun pään (The Sun Melts My Head) on March 8th, 2024, coinciding with International Women's Day. This release follows their well-received single Summer Love.

Aurinko sulattaa mun pään emerges as a shoegaze-inspired indie rock anthem, blending the wistful character of dreampop with a rawer and livelier guitar-driven sound, as well as the forceful essence of punk rock.

Approaching themes from a feminist perspective, the song speaks of the emotional intricacies of everyday experiences, exploring the tension between forgetting and remembering. At the same time, Aurinko sulattaa mun pään evokes a fleeting sense of lightness inspired by sunny days.

Currently in the process of creating their debut album, Lala Salama are lead vocalist and guitarist Rosa Jules, drummer Aliisa Keränen, and bassist Santeri Hytönen. Keränen and Hytönen are also members of Bad Sauna.
