Everyday is Sunday by QUBINOIX

Darkenin Heart

Introducing Everyday is Sunday, the second track from QUBINOIX's first US release. Hailing from Japan, this three-piece band brings their unique blend of indie and shoegaze to the forefront with the new song, set to be the B-side of their upcoming release, Girls Are Alright 7-inch courtesy of New York label Living Waters Records.

With just a few years of being a band, QUBINOIX (pronounced 'cube-in-o-wuh') brings over twenty years of firsthand involvement in shaping the Japanese shoegaze and alternative rock scene of the nineties and 2000s. Ichimaki (guitar, vocals) and Tetsu (bass), the founding members, transitioned from the vibrant urban atmosphere of Tokyo to Shizuoka, infusing a fresh vitality into a new music scene. Both musicians had previously contributed to iconic bands such as Coaltar of the Deepers, Soak, and BP,

The new track is a five-and-a-half-minute journey that showcases QUBINOIX's roots in shoegaze, enveloping in a sonic landscape reminiscent of the nineties indie scene. Characterized by its epic build-up, the song engages by use of a heavy wall of distortion, only to transform in its second half into a truly magnificent experience.
