The Great Chaos is the most recent single and titular track from dreampop group Silent Mass's new album. On June 21, 2024, the album will be released in time for the Summer Solstice.
Comparable to the group's previous single releases, the track depicts an overcast and mysterious scene and is centered around self-exploration and finding oneself. Silent Mass' Ammo says that the track "finds beauty in the spiral of self-discovery. It's a love song about mourning a version of your past self."
Once more, by fusing post punk with dreampop and gothic pop sensibilities, Silent Mass create a really melodic sound that has the ability to seep into the skin and leave an eerie afterglow.
