Today is the second single from Copenhagen post punk band Taxidermy’s forthcoming EP, Coin. The track sounds like a modern-day message on the end of the world, complete with fierce, eerie post punk and noise rock. It has strong passages that transition into wild, guitar-driven melodies, increasing in intensity all the way to a furious finale.
The song gains tremendous momentum from the beginning as a result of the way that the frantic percussion and sharp guitar and bass structures blend together to create an unrelenting melodic phrase.
Osvald Reinhold's passionate vocals paint a picture of what he calls “a landscape crushed by tidal waves of despair and discord slowly rising to reach new heights.”
