Vanee Dusoruth and Dom Rolando, who formed HALLOWS in 2019, began their journey in Minneapolis, moved to Seattle, and eventually settled in Los Angeles. With a contemporary electronic approach, the band draws from traditional darkwave to explore themes of anxiety and despair.
Part of their latest album A Quieter Life, is the band's single and video, Talk To Me.
Talk To Me is a somber and gloomy song that depicts a heartbreaking communication battle in the face of an unraveling relationship. It emphasizes subjects of pain, hopelessness, unsolved problems and phases of miscommunication, and the fundamental human need of empathy and connection.
