A Place To Bury Strangers' latest single, Bad Idea, highlights the unfiltered creativity of John Fedowitz. He entered the studio with nothing but a simple looping drum beat, feeling like he lacked inspiration - hence dubbing the track his 'bad idea.'
The band members each wrote down some lyrics, and he chose to sing the ones that resonated with him. After a few instrumental takes, the recording was done. The whole process led to an innovative song, deriving from a mix of spontaneous collaboration and a hint of self-doubt, transformed into a piece which is characterized by pure originality.
The upcoming APTBS album Synthesizer releases on October 4th, 2024, through Oliver Ackermann’s Dedstrange label.
