Kick That Desire is a collaborative single by Painted Vein and MØAA, blending elements of shoegaze, dreampop, and goth into a haunting new track. Painted Vein composed and performed the instrumentals, adding a hypnotic rhythm that complements the introspective tone. The Italian spoken word outro, for which Painted Vein is also responsible, adds an enigmatic layer to the song's atmosphere.
MØAA contributes emotionally charged vocals with lyrics that explore themes of heartache and longing. The vocal intertwines with the brooding guitar work, creating a sense of melancholy that permeates the track.
The accompanying music video, directed by IM DONE and colored by Alice Lorenzon, resembles the qualities of horror films, set in unsettling locations like a dark forest, an abandoned schoolhouse, and a rural graveyard.
