Italy's own heavy shoegazers, Mondaze, are back with Lines of You, the lead single from their upcoming album, Linger, set to release on November 22nd, 2024, via Bronson Recordings. The song’s atmospheric video, directed by Clement Pelo, features performances by Yannis Beck and Benedicte Bonpunt.
Since their formation in 2018, Mondaze have established a presence in the shoegaze genre, blending the intensity of Swervedriver and Ride with the edge of contemporary bands like Nothing and Ringo Deathstarr. To realize their expansive sound, they collaborated with acclaimed engineers Chris Fullard (Idles, Boris) and Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher) for mixing and mastering, respectively.
The opening track, Lines of You, dives into the perpetual tension between presence and absence—a duality that resonates deeply in daily life. It’s a song where reflective strength meets melancholy, drawing the audience into a space that feels deeply personal and esoterically universal. Mondaze's Lines of You exemplifies their ability to create introspective, genre-defying music that speaks to the complexities of self-awareness.
