Chicago’s Kaput, the new project from Brian Fox (Electrical Audio) and Nadia Garofalo (Heavy Feelings, formerly of Ganser), returns with Runner, a dynamic follow-up to their well-received debut single, High Wire. Leaning into the raw energy of underground post punk, Kaput draws inspiration from influential acts like Talking Heads and ESG.
"We love to experiment and play in our writing all while still being accessible," the band shares describing Runner as a song that brings this mindset to life, featuring frantic percussion alongside cool, straightforward vocals and a dance-ready bassline.
With each release early in their path, Kaput continue to develop a sound that respects the genre’s roots while infusing it with a distinctive edge.
