Austin/Glasgow duo SKLOSS have announced their debut album, The Pattern Speaks, alongside the release of its lead single and title track. Set for release on March 7th, 2025, via the London-based label Fuzz Club, the album is engineered and co-produced by Charles Godfrey (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Swans). The Pattern Speaks combines heavy psychedelia, post metal sounds and distorted riffs, all delivered with an unflinching honesty.
Formed in Austin, TX during the COVID lockdown, SKLOSS is a creative partnership between American drummer and vocalist Karen Skloss (of Moving Panoramas) and Scottish guitarist and vocalist Sandy Carson (of Iglomat). Skloss, also a filmmaker, has been featured on Barack Obama’s recommended watch list and edited significant documentaries on artists like Syd Barrett and Townes Van Zandt. Carson, a former professional BMX rider, is now a celebrated photographer and cinematographer.
With The Pattern Speaks, the duo seamlessly merges the heavier, grittier elements of their sound with a more reflective and sentimental touch, showcasing the full range of their musical vision.
