Spirit marks the third single from Red Mecca’s upcoming album, and it arrives as a sleek, dance‑ready synthpop piece with just the right touch of darkness embedded in it. Where the previous singles leaned into a sharper post punk edge, Spirit opens up the space.
The new track is more direct, offering a steady pulse built for movement. There’s also a sense of emotional clarity in the song, and a vulnerability that makes the track feel almost cinematic.
The band says: "We dream together in a waking state. Of the whispering and screaming memories in an abandoned house in the middle of the forest in the north.
"We are about to disappear into black sunrises. We observe the monsters, dwindling to clockwork-toys on their shelves."
